During his recent stay in Berlin, the french filmmaker Claude Lanzmann (director of the movie Shoah and ex-husband of the autor Angelika Schrobsdorff) tried to find Israel in the list of dial codes provided by the Kempinsky Bristol hotel. The country however was not mentioned among the states one can call directly from the room. Shamfully, a hotel staff member explained to him that thKempinsky Israele Israel country code was removed from the list in an attempt to please Arab customers. Maybe Kempinsky should use their web-page or leave-lets to inform their potential customers about the history of this house during the last 100 years. Knowing that it was originally founded and run by a Jewish family, but confiscated and illegally transfered to aryan owners under the nazi regime would please Arab customers even more.
